The MOST important element of success with a fat-loss diet is to have a healthy relationship with food. This means among other things that:
Fat loss diets DO NOT strengthen your relationship with food, they strain it. If it starts weak, it might fail and disordered thoughts and eating patterns may result… some of them long-term in nature.
If you don’t have the healthiest relationship with food, working on that BEFORE starting a diet is imperative.
There’s no rush to get healthy and certainly no rush to get lean. If you do it right, you can spend a lifetime looking your best and being healthy. If you do it wrong and rush the process, you may find yourself fighting diet-created demons that are even tougher than the ones that pushed you into dieting too fast in the first place.
