Having more determination? Your fitness level increased? Cutting down on sugar? Fitting into that little black dress that has always been too small? Being more positive?
Eating more fruits and vegetables? Your wedding ring is starting to fit again? Did you say no to that birthday cake in the office?
You went to the gym when all you wanted to do was sit at home and be a couch potato? Yes? Great! Because this is called NON-SCALE VICTORIES.
So rather than worrying about the number on the scale, pay attention to how your body is changing.
Not all progress can be seen on the scale. For example, gaining muscle mass can increase your weight because muscle is more dense than fat but it takes up less space than fat.
Remember, change in your body and health doesn’t boil down to that number on the scale – you are more than that!
Be proud of nonscale victories. Celebrate all the wonderful changes that are happening to your body.
They give you the energy that keeps the weight loss going. Keep up the good work, and don’t let the scale dictate the way you feel about yourself!
Be a participant in the non-scale Tuesday and have a great day! 🙂
