Sounds familar? “I really want to lose weight, but I’m just going to wait until the New Year start.” I will start with exercise, but after we move to a new house and things slow down at work.” I understand that life can be very hectic and that sometimes it’s difficult to find 30 minutes for a workout however, I’m a big advocate of slowly making changes to your life. It is proven that a 15 minutes of exercise is better than no exercise. Remember that DONE is always better than PERFECT. Don’t get me wrong – there is nothing wrong with striving to do your best as long as your desire to be perfect doesn’t controll your life. Perfection has a tendency to keep you from being done. If you always wait for the perfect time, for the perfect conditions, etc. you will just keep waiting. There will never be a perfect moment to get started with weight loss or a workout so just decide that you can and you will and “hit the road.” Take those first tiny baby steps and don’t wait until you can do them perfectly. Trust me, you’ll get better and more confident with every step you take. Sometimes something is always better than nothing. That’s why find those 15 minutes to take a stroll today -you’re still moving in the right direction.
Wishing you a lovley weekend. 🙂
