Don’t Get Discouraged

Good morning, beautiful people! Don’t let past weight loss failures discourage you from trying again. To be successful with losing weight, you need to accept that you’re going to have some bad days and experience a few slip ups. Remember, this happens to many people because none of us is perfect, especially when it comes to eating healthy.
I know it takes courage to start all over again, perhaps even more than the first time because we fear we’re going to throw in the towel again. However, I believe that being overweight and unhappy is more painful than trying again. Maintaining the status quo can be a struggle. You may feel comfortable and “safe” at the moment but you know that in the long run it will bring you only a feeling of discontent.
“Change happens when your motivation to accomplish something you desire is greater than the status quo in which you are living. In other words, weight loss happens when you want to lose weight MORE than you want to maintain the lifestyle that made you obese.”
When in doubt whether to try again or not just recall your successes. Visualize how great you are going to feel and look when you reach desired weight. Write your reasons for losing weight on a piece of paper and pick a start date. When you do that it means you’re ready.
Always believe in yourself and keep all your energy centered and focused in reaching your goal.
