May 10 marks the World Move for Health Day – a day set aside to promote physical activity.

Remember that physical activity can be done enywhere and anytime. You don’t need to go to the gym to be active. You can take a walk, use the stairs instead of the elevator, get off the bus one stop early on your way to work, stand up and stretch at your desk for a few minutes, walk up and down while talking on the phone, etc. Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, such as walk, benefits your health.

Our bodies were made to move. Have in mind that something is always better than nothing. If you haven’t exercise for for awhile, today is the right day to get started. Don’t wait till you’re sick to value your health. Make one healthy change today. Do what you can to move your body. Don’t let all-or-nothing thinking prevent from doing what you can today and every day.
