A great way to maximize your calorie burn and make your workout more fun is by occasionally changing your exercise routine. Changing the fitness routine can be a great motivator and may make things more interesting for you. I believe you are more likely to stick with something, if you’re enjoy doing it. Boredom and lack of results are often the main reason why people quit. If you change up the exercise routine, your body will be continually challenged and it will burn more calories. By doing the same moves and same rep scheme all the time you will stall your progress and your body will reach plateau. Fitness trainers recommend changing your routine every 3-4 weeks. This way you’ll always keep your body guessing “what’s next?”
I recently “discovered” kickboxing! Can you imagine? 🙂 I have to say it’s a fun way to get or stay in shape. So if you’re thinking about how to spice up your workout routine try kickboxing. It’s a great shared activity and suitable for everyone, regardless of your fitness level or age. However, I always recommend to see a doctor before you begin any type of exercise program.
Why kickboxing? Besides keeping your body fit, you improve muscle tone, balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance. Plus you get total body workout while learning simple self-defense moves. And Ladies, kickboxing can do wonders for feelings of frustration and anger. Not to mention, you can burn anywhere from 350 to 450 calories in an hour. This exercise really gets you into workout mood!
My dear Reader, challenge yourself sometimes by trying something you’ve never done before. It can be a chance for you to try something you’ve always wanted to learn or experience. Remember, sky’s the limit.
