I Eat To Nourish My Body

I Eat To Nourish My Body

Food is our fuel and if you want to start your day right you must eat. So for breakfast eat what you like most. This way you’ll satisfy yourself and your soul. Eating what you love is good for your mind, heart, and spirit. However, that doesn’t mean it’s OK to eat as much as you want of everything you want. Make sure that the food you’re eating is healthy and will provide you with plenty of nutrients rather than empty calories. Weekend is here so have in mind that healthy eating is all about balance. You can enjoy your favourite foods but in moderation. Think positive and focus on what you can have. Don’t sabotage all your hard work by making poor eating choices during the weekend.

“The amount and type of food you eat has a major influence on your health. If you eat a well-balanced diet, it can reduce your risk of various diseases as well as help you to maintain a healthy weight.” Remember, you can’t out train a bad diet. If you are stuck in a rut and can’t lose any more weight and body fat, the reason might be you’re eating too much food, the wrong food or both.

“…Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, healthy fats, fat-free dairy, and lean meats are the foundation of a healthy, satisfying diet plan. Alcohol, sweets, and treats are also part of the plan, but in small quantities…Most people overeat eat not because of hunger, but because the food tastes good or because they’re eating to satisfy emotions. May focuses on food’s role as nourishment for the body and helps dieters slow down, eat instinctively, avoid emotional eating, and savor the pleasure of foods.” – Kathleen M. Zelman, MPH, RD, LD

Wishing you all a very merry Sunday! 🙂
