Most people experience late-night sugar cravings at some time or another. Well, I’m having one of those days that just don’t want to go away. To satisfy my sweet tooth without going over the calorie edge, I eat fruit like apple or kiwi. One medium kiwifruit contains only 46 calories. But most of all I love low-calorie fruit smoothie. If you want to reduce fat while you sleep make your own healthy protein smoothie. Blend together 1/2 cup frozen strawberries and blueberries with 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/4 cup low fat yogurt or 1 tablespoon of low fat cottage cheese.
Why proteins? They does your body good. They help with weight loss because they raise your metabolism and make you feel full. Foods that are high in protein take longer to digest than carbohydrate foods. They slow down the release of carbs and fat into your bloodstream so you feel full sooner and for a longer amount of time.
Protein is a potent calorie burner because your body has to work hard to digest it therefore, it’s your best friend.
