It doesn’t matter whether you have a few pounds to shed or a significant amount of weight to lose, the process of weight loss can get overwhelming. So if you’re struggling to stick with your weight loss or exercise program and having moments of self-doubt grab a piece of paper and a pencil and write down all the reasons you CAN. Use positive words. The way you talk to yourself can bring encouragement, or it can send you further into despair.
Determine what really drives you to keep going. Think what motivates you to find that one thing that will get you out the door. It may be a dress you want to fit into or you don’t want to get winded anymore when doing the basic activities. One major reason why many people want to lose weight is to feel comfortable in their own skin. They want to build their self esteem. There are so many reasons why a person wants to lose weight. Just make sure it’s for the right reasons. When writing down a list of reasons make it clear and specific.
